  Esther MEYER: More about Esther HØST (MEYER): Birth: An Ontario birth registration indicates a birth mother of “Joanna Host.” No father is indicated. On 14 October 1929, she travelled to the United States with a destination of Washington, DC. Her Buffalo, NY border crossing record indicates her birth date and a father’s name of “Cajus Host” -- her grandfather, and the closest male ancestor with her surname. (Cajus died before Esther was born and could not have been her father. This is also an uncommon given name in Denmark.) Father: Paternal father is unknown, supposedly a farmhand on the farm Johanne lived at in Denmark. She was adopted by Svend MEYER. Languages: English, Danish.
