He was born 3 June 1858 in Lindelse, Langeland, Denmark, and died 26 April 1940 in Hareskov, Denmark. He was the son of Albert Marius HANSEN, a store owner, and Kirstine MARIE CHRISTENSEN. Occupation: Attendant to the queen of Denmark (this is according to family legend, but has not been confirmed independently). If true, this would have needed to occur between between 1885-99. The 1885 census does not list her as employed, but living with her parents. She does not appear on the 1890 census (which appears to be a very limited census). By the following census, 1901, she was remarried and living in Espe, a small town far from Copenhagen. Residences: Copenhagen, Denmark (1885, 1893-99, 1921), Skovsgaard, Espe, Denmark (1900-1913), Odense, Denmark (1914); Vaerlose, Copenhagen, Denmark (1925).
